P. “Bud” Peterson, president of Georgia Tech, on research involving both universities that resulted in the receipt of the AAU’s Golden Goose award. The annual award recognizes researchers whose odd or obscure research provides benefits to society. The honeybee research led to more efficient ways to allocate Web-hosting computer servers.
